Hewitson Walker hosted their annual Quiz Night at Racks in Clifton, Bristol, on Thursday 26th November 2009. The annual event was once again well received with over 100 clients attending. Glasses were charged and the 8 rounds got under way. Apart from one question, which caused an uproar with an incorrect answer from Hewitson Walker, the rounds flew by and the bar tab grew!
On the stroke of nine thirty, final scores on the doors were delivered amid much anticipation. Congratulations to the winning team 'The Mud Club' from The Soil Association who retained their title for the second year running.They collected the 1st prize of full day passes to Hamburger Hill Paintballing. The second team 'Rusty Lotus Badge' from Hanson were unluckily pipped to the post by 4 points but managed to move up a place from last year. Their prize was donated by Penny Brohn Cancer Care which was gift vouchers for Wagamama. Third prize was picked up by 'The Missing Link' from Smartwork who won vouchers for Laser Fusion which offered a free game for the whole team.
The raffle got under way just after the results were delivered and the number of gifts given was quiet phenomenal and as a result we all raised £500 for Penny Brohn Cancer Care. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Katy Thomas from the charity for coming along and giving us an opportunity to hear about the charity and the priceless work that they do.
