Our client, a leader within the rail industry, is currently going through a period of major construction and development and is looking to recruit a permanent Project Accountant. Working in a central business area with good transport links this is an exciting role for an experienced Project Accountant to join a dynamic project team.
The role will include but by no means be limited to:
- Supporting the project team in regards to the development of the capital investment projects
- Processing and validation of capital accruals and capitalisation and project closure
- Developing and maintaining project budgets and reporting variances
- Preparing reports on costs
- Working closely with project teams and project managers in regards to spend and associated costs
The client is looking for a commercially driven candidate who has excellent communication skills. You would ideally have experience of managing project financials within the construction, rail or engineering industries (although this is not essential) and be either a finalist or qualified member of an accounting body such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA OR CA.
