A charitable organisation based in Central London are looking for someone to join a cohesive team, providing a customer focused service within the finance department so that accounting records reflect the situation of the business on a timely basis.
Key Purpose of Role:
To maintain an efficient and customer focused purchase ledger in order to ensure that all supplier invoices, expenses and all other queries related to payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Accountabilities:
- To process supplier invoices, payment requests, committee and staff expenses and their subsequent settlement ensuring compliance with procedures and correct tagging by fund, activity, special analysis and VAT codes.
- To reconcile suppliers’ statements to the purchase ledger records and to take appropriate action to resolve discrepancies.
- To reconcile the purchase and expenses control accounts in order to ensure that the information therein is complete and accurate.
Key Experience:
- Experience of Purchase Ledger, supplier and control account reconciliations
- Experience of working in AP environment
- Must be able to demonstrate you are numerate
- Computer skills to include intermediate use of SUN Accounting System and Excel
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Excellent customer service skills
