A leading online retailer based in West London is recruiting for a Financial Controller to head up their UK finance function.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wishes to advance their finance career and requires someone with strong technical accounting skills paired with commercial awareness and a proven track record of adding value to a business. The successful candidate will be reporting to the CFO and responsible for a team of 5.
Main responsibilities include
- Supervision of UK finance
- Month-end closings and preparation of monthly management reporting
- Develop and implementation of new and improved systems, procedures and controls,
- Preparation of detailed budgets, cash flows and forecasts, working closely with Group finance department, budget holders and Department’s managers.
- Providing Directors/senior management team with answers to ad hoc requests for financial analysis and flash reports.
- Preparation of year-end financial statements including annual accounts and drafting of statutory reporting, and liaison with auditors.
- Treasury management
- Tax management and annual returns
This role requires a qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA or ACCA). Experience of working within an audit firm will be advantageous however not essential.
