Credit Controller/ Part Time - £26,000 pro rota - Central London
I am currently representing a publishing company who are looking for an experienced part time Credit Controller to come and work within a busy accounting team, reporting into the Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate will have previous credit control experience, and be happy to work on a part time basis.
As Credit controller you will be required to carry out the following duties:
* Maintain the debtors’ ledger; including allocating all sales receipts onto the correct number ledger in Sage, and processing credit card payments.
* Transfer 90 day customer debts onto Receivables Collection agency.
* Manage the collection process through Receivables and ensure invoices are accurately billed and create a credit scoring model by using external credit scoring agencies.
* Monitor the granting of credit to customers, Place accounts on credit stop for non payment, and review stop list with the financial controller on a quarterly basis.
* Chase outstanding invoices for payment by telephone, fax and email and resolve customer queries through a query spreadsheet.
* Raise credit notes, ensuring the credit note process is adhered to.
* Produce weekly aged debtors report for the Financial Controller.
* Produce monthly bad debt reports for review by the Financial Controller.
* Review the sales ledger and enter adjustments as necessary.
* Provide information to the external auditors as required during the annual audit.
* Complete liquidation claim forms for customers in liquidation where dividend payments may apply.
* Ad hoc duties as required
This role will initially start as a contract with a view to making it permanent.
