Metropolitan Housing Partnership is one of the largest and most highly regarded social housing businesses in the UK, with a reputation for first class delivery and unparalleled urban regeneration.
Metropolitan Housing Partnership comprises the following newly merged partner companies: MHT London, Granta Housing Association, Clapham Park Homes, Sprita, Metropolitan Home Ownership & Metropolitan Support trust.

Due to the merger of several companies into the group, MHP embarked on a companywide restructure of their group finance team with the aim of centralisation. During this period of flux Hewitson Walker provided 34 interim staff to cover the gaps in the finance service. When it came to filling these posts within the new structure MHP turned to Hewitson Walker to manage this process.

MHP invited Hewitson Walker to tender. We subsequently delivered a detailed presentation and service specification document outlining how the recruitment process would be managed. The recruitment process was managed in several phases to ensure MHP objectives where met at every stage.

Phase One

Introduction meeting between MHP and our Account Management Team to discuss the company profile, desired employee attributes, skill requirements, mission statements, visions and to implement any bespoke testing required or in tray exercises.

Phase Two

Advertisements placed in several web based job sites including the MHP job site. In addition, Hewitson Walker’s resourcing consultants conducted a thorough search of candidates registered in the local area. This included both internal candidate databases as well as one of the many external candidate databases.

Phase Three

Once the closing date had passed, the Key Account Manager made a shortlist and conducted first stage interview’s & carried out testing on behalf of MHP. *This included MHP internal candidates.

Phase Four

Review Meeting with MHP to ensure final shortlist is credible and meets objectives.

Phase Five

Successful candidates invited to attend 2nd round interview with MHP representative. Unsuccessful candidates notified.

Phase Six

Offers made and reference applications made. Unsuccessful candidates notified.
Hewitson Walker is a preferred supplier to MHP and continues to work in partnership sourcing permanent and temporary recruitment needs.
